Twisted Nerve formed in 1978, inspired by the punk rock revolution. By 1980 they had embraced the darker side of punk, influenced by Siouxsie and the Banshees and early Adam and the Ants they found themselves playing with the likes of Sex Gang Children, Virgin Prunes, Rubella Ballet etc. In 1985, after releasing the three records they are best known for; 5 Minutes of Fame, Eyes You Can Drown In and Seance the band disintegrated and called it a day. Twisted Nerve reformed in 2007 to play at Drop-Dead Festival in Prague, the band have since been playing throughout Europe up to the present date. The band have toured with The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Gary Numan, The Rezillos, Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned and the Psychedelic Furs to name but a few.
The band consist of Craig (lead vocals) Norbert (bass bin) Mister Dunsmore (all guitars) and Dave Grave (drums and percussion). The band are currently recording new material to be released in the near future along with a retrospective collection. Twisted Nerve have played at all the major festivals in Europe including WGT, Crimson Night, Return to the Batcave and will continue to do so as long as people want to see them play.
