This time, Peter Hook picks the Joy Division card!
Peter Hook (Salford, February 13 1956) is a British bass guitarist who became known as a member of Joy Division and New Order. The dominant style of Hook is what largely determines the sound of this band.
Along with David Potts, Hook founded Monaco in 1997. They had a little success with Music for pleasure. This was a project alongside New Order. Before, the two gentlemen had formed Revenge.
Hook was married to British comedian Caroline Aherne (The Royle Family). In the film 24 Hour Party People, which is about the rise and fall of Factory Records, including Joy Division and New Order, the role of Hook is played by Ralf Little, who became known as the opponent of Aherne in the television series The Royle Family .
In 2007, Hook works at a reunion of Monaco and establishes a new band (Free Bass) and regularly tours around the world as a DJ.
On August 20, Peter Hook of Joy Division brings an exclusive set with maybe at the end, some New Order classics. To be seen!
